  • Do I have to get naked in class or on stage?

    NOPE! Definitely not in class. In rehearsal please bring workout wear. Clean bottomed heels are optional.

    On stage, you don’t ~have~ to get naked but, burlesque is the art of the striptease so there will be some element of garment removal. To what extent is up to you!

  • Do you do payment plans?

    Yes! Above all, I want this to be accessible. If you wold like to set up a payment arrangement, I am happy to discuss that option. Reach out if cost is a barrier, I can sometimes help find sponsors so email me at thee.academixxx@gmail.com.

  • Can I try out a class before committing to the stage?

    Yes! You are welcome to try the first class of the series for the “bedroom” rate then determine if you would like to get on stage. When in doubt, try it out!

  • I can't dance, can I take your course?

    Yes! This class is about a mind body connection. We will work on concepts like musicality, confidence, and fluidity. You can learn to move in a way that honors your body!

  • Are classes refundable?

    Classes are only refundable if I cancel or the weather poses a threat. Deposits and missed classes are not refundable. If you paid in full and need to withdraw from the series doing so before the 5th week, April 17th will yield a partial refund.

  • Am I too old or too young?

    Never too old! There are burlesque legends still out here MOVING well into their 60s.

    You may be too young tho baby, these classes are for those 21 and up.

  • I'm non-binary or trans, am I welcome?

    Most certainly! As long as you are looking to explore femininity and confidence through burlesque you are welcome. This is a space that honors the authentic self!
